A soundtrack to the islands
Our Paradise is a melodic tribute to the Cook Islands, released in the year the country marked 60 years of self-government in free association with New Zealand. It is our contribution to a much larger story about identity, home and where we are going.
The record draws from deep, organic and Balearic house: wide pads, warm percussion and a groove that rolls rather than announces itself. No oversized drop. No rush. Space matters.
Made to feel like home
We wanted the track to carry something recognisable for locals and the Cook Islands diaspora, while still working as house music wherever it is heard. It belongs on a beach system as the sun drops, but it also belongs in headphones a long way from Rarotonga.
This one is personal: a record about the place that shaped us, made with enough room for other people to find their own meaning in it.
House Music Done Properly.
